History

    The American company Gehl (now owned by the Manitou group of companies) was founded in 1859 as a manufacturer of agricultural machinery. In 1986 entered the compact construction equipment market. The company owns the Gehl and Mustang brands.

Today Gehl is one of the world's leading manufacturers in its segment. The headquarters is located in West Bend (Wisconsin, USA). The company's factories produce front-end loaders, mini-excavators, mini-skid steer loaders with a wide range of additional equipment. Gehl has an extensive dealer and distribution network in Europe, Latin and South America, the Middle East and the Pacific.

The first Gehl GBL818S backhoe loaders manufactured at the Indian Manitou Group plant. The machines are equipped with a 92 hp Perkins diesel engine, telescopic arm and multi-purpose bucket.
